Many songs don’t show signs of lacking something memorable: they can seem just fine when you sing them to yourself. But if you find that your songs are just not building an audience base, it may be time to take it apart a bit, and see if you can improve its ability to stick in the memory of the listener. Emcee 101: Support vs Obligated Praise

I have been making music for a long time now and it took me a long time to really pin point who supported me. Sometimes your friends and family can love you so much that they praise your “talents” just to make you happy. I personally find that to be bullshit. How can I further myself at anything if everybody tells me what they THINK I want to hear? I wasn’t a baby when all this began…I encourage criticism it helps me get better at my craft and it helps me make music my audience will appreciate more.

SONGWRITING 101: TEN TIPS FOR WRITING A BETTER SONG
